Paul was formerly National Technical Manager of Zurich Building Guarantees, heading up the UK Surveying force for Zurich's Structural Warranty and writing the Zurich BG Technical Standards. Subsequently, Paul was appointed as National Technical Director for Taywood Homes (Taylor Woodrow) before establishing his own construction consultancy in 2001.
He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry as a qualified Draughtsman, an honours degree in Civil Engineering, a further degree in Building Surveying, and is an experienced Principal Designer, Health & Safety Advisor and Project Manager.
It is Paul's specialist knowledge of the Latent Defects Insurance Market as well as the Building Control function which makes him uniquely placed to provide expert Claims Investigation / Arbitration, Surveying & Project Management Services with trouble-shooting abilities in identifying root cause defects, owing to his first-hand knowledge of the Zurich process and the technical standards expected and essentially, how buildings work.
Paul is a Chartered Member of the RICS, a Member of the Institute of Directors, a Technical Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health and an Incorporated Member of the Association for Project Safety.
