Project Overview:
This is a consortium project between Persimmon Homes & Bovis Homes which is located at Hatch Farm, Winnersh, Berkshire. Â

The development, which will be primarily residential, will comprise around 433 new residential properties, a primary school (up to 2 form entry) with pitches and play area, public open spaces including a community woodland and country park and children’s play areas.

As part of the overall development, there are S278 Works Infrastructure  worksincluding a 1.7 km single carriageway local distributor road, two major signalized road junctions at Lower Earley Way and King Street Lane, two highway bridges, nine box culverts, a 500 m long road embankment, compensatory flood storage earthworks to provide for flood compensation and flood protection.

Other associated works including landscaping, creation of swales and ponds as part of the sustainable Urban Drainage proposals (SUDs) and sewage pumping station, remediation, undergrounding of electricity power lines and demolition of 2 existing dwellings (No.s 42 and 44 King Street Lane).

Across the development, the site will be split into different phases and separate areas will be under the control of different Principal Contractors.

GHPC have been appointed by the Consortium as Consortium Principal Designer and by Persimmon Homes as Lead Designer and Principal Designer to prepare and co-ordinate the detailed design of the bespoke units within the Persimmon development parcels. Additionally we are acting as Principal Designer for Bovis Homes for their development parcels.
