The build comprised demolition of the existing coach depot and construction of the mixed-use redevelopment comprising 71 residential apartments, in three towers ranging in height between 5, 6 and 7 storeys above the landscaped podium at first floor level. There is flexible ground level commercial space and a dedicated access road.

Given the location of the works, there were a number of constraints which were taken into the consideration in the design & planning phase:

Phasing and Managing works to ensure protection and stability of high Party Wall to main boundary
Working in close proximity to an operational railway line & viaduct
Multi-storey construction: enhanced Fire Management Strategy etc.
Limited space & multi-storey: required Tower Crane for building process
Restricted site with tight access and narrow site establishment area with Viaduct & Arches
Close proximity to existing residential homes with security, noise, dust, vibration issues

CDM Support to Principal Designer, prepared Pre-construction Information for each Tender stage, reviewed each External PC’s CPHSP & RAMS & CPHSP updates. Preparing Management Pack including H&S File. Monthly Technical Director meetings to review CDM support for all Business Unit projects.
