Robert is an experienced professional who has worked in various roles throughout his career covering technical and design elements of construction and more recently working as a Surveyor and Clerk of Works covering several multi-million pound projects.
He has a wealth of knowledge covering all forms of construction including residential (both traditional and timber frame), commercial, defects claims projects and also several major BREEAM projects (using steel frame / timber frame construction and a variety of modern cladding systems seeing projects through from commencement on-site through to completion.
With over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Robert started his working life as an architectural technician working his way into various management positions and is a full member of the ICWCI (Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate). He recently received a Highly Commended Award at the Building on Quality Awards 2015 after time spent working on two multi-million pound sports & leisure centres.
More recently, Robert's specialist knowledge has covered remedial works, ensuring projects were brought up to the relevant standards. He has a keen eye for detail and can readily identify when something doesn’t comply with the design, specification or construction methods and is able to discuss issues through with clients and contractors at all levels to resolve problems which may be raised and discuss appropriate and pragmatic solutions.
In his spare time Robert is a keen clay target shooter when time permits, enjoys spending time with family and friends and has an interest in all forms of motor sport (in which he keenly participated in his earlier years!).
